Smooth, warm Basalt stones are renowned for their healing capabilities. Heated and combined with massage, to relieve tension and stress.

Hot towels are steeped in aromatic oils and strategically placed on the body to warm and loosen muscles during the massage for maximum benefits. Includes a 60 or 90-minute Pure Relaxation Massage.

PRENATAL

After the first trimester, enjoy a massage crafted for the specific needs of pregnant women. This soothing treatment is designed to ease soreness, improve circulation, reduce swelling and release tension in the lower back, neck, and shoulders. Special pregnancy massage bolsters are used for maximum comfort.

PURE RELAXATION

Long relaxing strokes, varying in intensity from light to medium pressure, soothe muscles, free energy blockages, and relieve tension.

TEEN (Ages 16-18)

A gentle introduction to massage. The therapist

uses light to moderate pressure for a relaxing experience for our younger guests. Athletic teens are recommended to schedule our Sports Massage.

ESPRESSO MUD

A fusion of massage and body treatment in one.

This gentle exfoliating treatment starts with a light exfoliation using volcanic Pumice and Coffee Arabica to stimulate circulation, followed by a warm wrap with mineral-rich, Black Silt Clay and herbal extracts of Indian Sarsaparilla and Honey to help smooth and firm the skin. Includes a full body moisture application to hydrate skin and flush out toxins.

LEMON MIMOSA

This refreshing body scrub and massage hydrates and brightens dull skin. Micronized Walnut shells exfoliate, while Mimosa and Bamboo extracts create lasting softness. Sparkling notes of Lemongrass combined with seductive, floral aromas of Jasmine and Ylang Ylang stimulate the senses for total relaxation. Includes a full body moisture application to hydrate skin and flush out toxins.

Guests are fully dressed during all Energy Work services and are recommended to wear comfortable clothing. 

Reiki

Reiki restores the body to equilibrium through the transfer of beneficial energy. It employs a gentle laying-on-of-hands, releasing energy to the site of a specific ailment or conducted across the body. It can be used for both physical and emotional difficulties. Feelings of peace, serenity, and well-being are often reported during and after a Reiki session.  Reiki can also help improve sleep, lessen pain, reduce anxiety and headaches.

 ROSEMARY SCALP TREATMENT 

The scalp is massaged with Rosemary essential oil to prevent hair loss and improve hair growth. Oil is left in the hair throughout the treatment.

The scalp is massaged with a blend of Ylang Ylang, Sandalwood, Lime, and Clary Sage essential oils to nourish and condition the hair and scalp. Oil is left in the hair throughout the treatment.

Oncology Bodycare

From the moment of diagnosis, through treatment and into survivorship, cancer is emotionally and physically exhausting for the individuals diagnosed, their families and their caregivers. Our staff has been specially trained in massage therapy to support individuals struggling with the physical and emotional side effects of radiation and chemotherapy. Our staff are dually trained and certified in both Oncology Wellness and Massage. Renowned Cheryl Chapman RN, MN-BC, NCTMB, LMT, a pioneer in Oncology Massage since 1990, registered nurse since 1965 and a holistic bodywork practitioner since 1999, personally trained our staff to care for each guest throughout their treatment, recovery and remission. In addition, the On The Side Spa staff have completed the Wellness for Cancer Certification Program that provides safe, therapeutic services for people who are living with cancer.

The lymph is made of fluid, bacteria’s, fat and toxins and moves only in on direction toward the heart.

This Specialized massage uses a technique of very light, gentle and superficial pressure that encourages and allows the lymph to drain naturally.

How to prepare for your Lymphatic Drainage Session:

 Call to reschedule if you are sick.

 *Stay hydrated ( drink plenty of water. Minimum 32 OZ preference for alkaline water )

*Eat a light meal for dinner and in the morning

*No alcohol with dinner.

*Consult with your Doctor about medications that you are taking prior to service.

*Be ready to relax.

After your Session: 

If you fell worn out after the session it is normal

Your body needs time. The detoxification process takes between 24-48 hours.
